The Central Education Programme sessions are held at:
- Main Site – Haybridge SCITT, Brake Lane, Hagley, Worcestershire, DY8 2XS
For your school placements, you will be based in two of our placement schools within the secondary department that you are specialising in which allows you to experience high-quality teaching right from the beginning of the course. It is our belief that by investing in the next generation of teachers, we can secure the best outcomes for young people and, therefore, we seek to attract and train the highest calibre trainee teachers. You will be trained in an extremely supportive environment based in high-achieving, aspirational schools. Our Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme provides the experience of training within schools from the start of September, together with high quality core and subject training delivered by expert practitioners, consistent with the requirements for meeting the Teachers’ Standards and gaining Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Our Secondary Primary QTS and PGCE programmes are accredited by Bath Spa University who awards our Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE sixty Masters
credits).
School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) is effective, challenging and rewarding. We provide a personal approach and treat each trainee as an individual, identifying their needs to ensure that they achieve an excellent outcome.
