Ofsted Report

Inspectors were extremely positive about the work of Haybridge SCITT and commented on the following areas of strength in their feedback to Leaders:

• The taught curriculum is ambitious in design, ensuring that the curriculum covers in detail the Core Content Framework.  The curriculum is well planned, taught by experts and well-integrated.
• Curriculums are informed by research and purposefully integrated to ensure centre-based and school-based learning support and complement one another.
• Pastoral support and trainee wellbeing is clear, with trainees commenting on the support received.
• Haybridge SCITT is meeting all statutory requirements for safeguarding and ITT Compliance.
• Clear evidence that trainees are aware of how pupils learn, behaviour management strategies, adaptive teaching and subject and curriculum understanding that is phase and subject specific.
• Vision of excellence from leaders is clear and evident throughout, leaders acknowledge and support mentors and trainees to manage workload effectively with processes streamlined.
• Strong partnerships with partner schools were evident, partners speak positively about working with Haybridge SCITT.
