Entry Requirements
- GCSE grade C/4 in both English and Mathematics (or recognised equivalents)
- All applicants are required to hold a UK undergraduate degree, normally with a degree classification of 2:2 or higher, or a recognised equivalent international qualification certified by ENIC (National Academic Recognition Information Centre). For Secondary applicants this must be in, or closely related to, your proposed teaching subject. As a guideline we would expect to see at least 50% of your first degree relevant to the National Curriculum subject you intend to teach.
If you studied outside of the UK, you should visit the National Academic Recognition Centre (ENIC) website to find out whether your qualifications are of an equivalent level to UK GCSEs, A levels and an undergraduate degree. Admission to the course is subject to a satisfactory medical report, as you are required to meet the standards for Fitness to Teach, and applicants must complete forms requesting an Enhanced Disclosure from the DBS.
